The Adventures of Cat & Cod: Out and About in Brighton and London

With little to no opportunity to get away on Honeymoon immediately after the wedding we had to delay our romantic getaway until the May school break, and given the weather we experienced on our trip down south, I think this was a good thing. It was glorious sunshine throughout, apart from one rainy day in London, which we had already set aside for indoor sightseeing. For the first 2 nights we stopped over in London, occupying the smallest hotel room imaginable, oxygen an optional extra. We then took a 2 hour coach trip down to Brighton where we stayed with Robert and Charles for 4 nights - much larger room with a far superior view (firstly because it had a window and secondly because Robert and Charles own a fabulous house with a panoramic view from the top floor). Covent Garden - round the corner screaming crowds of teenagers gathered round one of the stars appearing on Drury Lane - after being lifted up by Cody and catching a glimpse of the young Jude Law lookalike, I still had no clue...I must be getting old!
